Registered General Nurse - Nursing Home | Swords, County Dublin
We are currently recruiting a Registered General Nurse (RGN) for a modern nursing home located in Swords, County Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and motivated nurse to join a professional team dedicated to providing high-quality care to elderly residents in a supportive and friendly environment.
Requirements
- Current NMBI registration (Registered General Nurse / First Level Nurse)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for working with elderly residents
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Knowledge of HIQA Standards
- Previous experience in elderly care or nursing homes is desirable
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care and ensure residents' needs are met with dignity and respect
- Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and report any concerns appropriately
- Develop, implement and regularly review individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families and healthcare professionals
- Administer medications safely and maintain accurate documentation in line with NMBI guidelines and company policies
- Maintain clear and accurate clinical records for all residents
- Conduct regular resident assessments and health checks
- Provide clear handovers to colleagues at the end of each shift
- Promote a safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team
